All QAS International consultants and auditors have an obligation to improve the standing of the profession by observing the QAS International Code of Conduct. Compliance with the Code is a condition of continuing Certification to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008.

  1. To act professionally, accurately and in an unbiased manner.
  2. To strive to increase the competence and prestige of our profession.
  3. To assist those in my employ or under my supervision in developing their management, professional consulting and auditing skills.
  4. To undertake only those consultancy and auditing projects that I am competent to perform.
  5. To disclose to any client or employer any relationships that may be seen as a conflict of interest and that may influence my judgement.
  6. Not to discuss or disclose any information relating to a client unless required by law or authorised in writing by the client.
  7. Not to accept any inducement, commission, gift or any other benefit (apart from fair payment) from clients, their employees or any interested party or knowingly allow colleagues to do so.
  8. Not intentionally to communicate false or misleading information that may compromise the integrity of any audit.
  9. Not to act in any way that would prejudice the reputation of QAS International or the personnel certification process and to co-operate fully with an enquiry in the event of an alleged breach of this Code.
